Sunday Evening in the Park in Dresden
Heavenly sounds will again come from Dresdenās Jackson Park on Sunday evenings this summer.
Sunday Evening in the Park presents one hour of live Gospel and Christ-centred music and messages on stage starting June 25 and continuing every Sunday to the Labour Day weekend.
Since the late 1960s, Dresden-area churches have presented some form of music and message on Sunday evenings in the open air. Itās an opportunity not only to present reasons for the hope we have in Christ, but to prove that 13 congregations can work together in Christian unity.
This yearās lineup:
– Holy Ground (June 25)
– One-A-Chord (July 2)
– Marc & Kim Reid (July 9)
– The New Trademarks (July 16)
– Tina Pumfrey (July 23)
– Jeff & Tim (July 30)
– Hands on Grace (formerly Linda Nap & Nicole Connors) (Aug. 6)
– Don & Bonnie Cook (Aug. 13)
– First Presbyterian Church Chatham (Aug. 20)
– Chapelaires (Aug. 27)
– Mercy (Sept. 3)
It begins at 7 p.m. and includes a 10-12 minute message from a local pastor. An offering is taken which pays for the musicians and supports the work of the ministerial. Bring a lawn chair or enjoy the music from your vehicle! Rain location is Dresden Community Church.
