The 5th annual Tractor Day at Lambton-Kent Composite School in Dresden has been deemed another success.
Students drove tractors to school on Friday and parked them in the front lawn.
Mike McGrail, a teacher at the school, said a total of 14 teams participated in the ‘Farmer’s Olympics’ as well.
“It turned out awesome,” he said.
“A beautiful day, the weather was great.”
McGrail said prizes were awarded to the oldest tractor, most experience tractor, highest horse power and the cleanest tractor.
A FREE barbecue was also put on by the LKCS Booster Club.
“They paid for all of the barbecue supplies and each student received a freezie, a bottle of water and a hot-dog or a hamburger,” McGrail said.
“We’re lucky, it has turned out great. We’ve gotten a lot of good support from the community. I hope it continues to grow.”
