Motorcyclist hurt during crash in St. Clair Township

A Sarnia man has been sent to hospital after a motorcycle crash in St. Clair Township.

OPP officials say on June 13, 2017 at approximately 1:15 a.m. the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Brigden Road, north of Moore Line within the Township of St. Clair, Ontario in response to a collision involving a motorcycle.

Investigation has revealed that a Yamaha motorcycle had been south bound on Brigden Road when the operator lost control and slid down the roadway.

The operator, a 33 year old male from Sarnia, Ontario was treated at the scene by paramedics and transported to hospital as he had suffered serious injuries.

Due to the damage to the motorcycle and level of injury, the OPP have closed Brigden Road between Rokeby and Moore Lines in order to facilitate the continued investigation.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigations Team was on scene.

Brigden Road was expected to be re-opened by 10 a.m.

The name of the injured driver won’t be released pending the results of the investigation and reasonable notification of the next-of-kin.
