Theft charges laid in Dresden

A Dresden man faces theft charges after an incident back in May.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say in May 2017, at approximately 12 p.m. a man walked into a business in Dresden and allegedly removed some paperwork from an employee’s desk.

That paperwork consisted of some of the man’s information, however, it also included some other information that was not for him to take.

The owner of the business approached the man in an attempt to get back the information that was not for him to take, but the man allegedly declined to give it back.

Therefore, police were called.

On Sunday, June 11 just before 12 p.m. a 58-year-old Dresden man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.

He was released from police custody with a court date of Tuesday, June 27, 2017.
