Home invasion and police pursuit in Wallaceburg

Police are investigating after a home invasion and pursuit in Wallaceburg.

Police officials say on Saturday, July 22 officers responded to a home invasion in Wallaceburg.

A Wallaceburg man allegedly armed with a knife, a rifle and a handgun forced his way inside a Wallaceburg residence.

After allegedly uttering several threats to occupants inside the residence the man fled the area with a female on a black motorcycle.

Police say the motorcycle was located by responding officers but the suspect refused to stop.

Police say the motorcycle was not pursued for safety reasons.

The same motorcycle is believed to have been involved in several other pursuits in different jurisdictions in Southwestern Ontario, police officials say.

The suspect is currently wanted on 13 criminal charges.

Police say more information will be available once a warrant for the suspect’s arrest has been issued.
