Chicken frankfurters recalled due to ‘bone fragments’

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says Maple Lodge Farms Ltd. is recalling certain chicken frankfurters from the marketplace due to the potential presence of bone fragments.

CFIA officials say consumers should not consume the following recalled products:

CFIA officials say this recall was triggered by the company.

“The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products,” CFIA officials said.

“If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated Food Recall Warnings.”

There has been one reported injury associated with the consumption of these products, CFIA officials say.
