After finishing second in the regular season, the Wallaceburg Satans are heading to the playoffs in their debut season.

Wallaceburg beat the Detroit Coney Dogs by a combined score of 28-12 on Saturday in Box Lacrosse League action.

Wallaceburg won 17-9 and 11-3, to wrap up regular season play.

“I am very proud of our players” stated Chris Fox, operating director for the Wallaceburg club, on wallaceburgsatans.com.

“We have a quick turn around now with the National Championship next weekend in Milwaukee.”

Fox says he expects to have the teams largest traveling roster and most complete since their debut in Wallaceburg on WAMBO weekend.

“There is no doubt that teams and games get better as the year and season go on,” Fox said.

“I would like to think the same about our team as well.”

Wallaceburg finished 5-1-0 on the season, good for second in the league.

The Satans will battle the Chicago Outlaws in the playoff semi-finals on Saturday, October 14.

St. Louis, the undefeated top seed and only team to beat Wallaceburg this year, will play Detroit in the other semi-final.
