The Wallaceburg Tartans senior girls basketball team picked up a victory in their opening game at the OFSAA ‘AA’ basketball championships in Huntsville on Thursday morning.
The #5 seeded Tartans beat the #17 ranked Fenelon Falls squad, 66-37.

Ash LaBlanc and Meagan McCarter led the way with 15 points each, while Brett Fisher chipped in with 13 points.

The Tartans will face the hosts, the #11 ranked Huntsville team, on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m.
Huntsville lost their opening game on Friday to Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, 70-38.
If the Tartans win on Friday morning, they are looking at playing again on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
