Peacefully, with her family around her, Pauline Joyce Grant (nee Patterson) passed away on Sunday, Dec 10th at Marshall Gowland Manor at 92 years of age.
Predeceased by her loving husband Harold (2008). Pauline, born in Gaspe Quebec, was the daughter of Frank and Maria Patterson. Loving mother to Keith Grant (Sharree), Michael Grant (Nancy), Lorraine Richmond (Dave), Cindy McLarty, and Graham Grant. Much loved Grammie of Amy Hughes, Scott Grant (Colleen), Jeffrey Grant (Melissa) Nathan Grant, Melanie MacDougall (Jason), Andrew Grant (Amanda), Jenna Manchester, Blake Richmond (Katie), Daniel McLarty, Emily McLarty, Colin Grant (Laura), Alec Grant, and Madison Grant. Adored Great-Grammie of 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Keith Patterson of Gaspe and her sister Eva Miller also of Gaspe. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Audry Miller, brother Alec Patterson, and brother Edwin Patterson.
Pauline taught elementary school in the early days and also enjoyed working as a librarian in Port Lambton. Pauline will be fondly remembered for her kind and giving spirit.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the many caring people on staff at Marshall Gowland Manor. Friends will be received at Eric F Nicholls Funeral Home in Wallaceburg from 5-8 on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017. A funeral service will take place at St. James Anglican Church, Port Lambton on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at McDonald Cemetery, Port Lambton.
