Crime spree between Wabash and Thamesville


Police are investigating after a crime spree between Wabash and Thamesville.

Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers officials say during the early morning hours of Friday, December 15, several
break and enters took place.

“The primary target enters were dirt bikes, ATV’s and UTV side-by-side vehicles,” Crime Stoppers officials stated in a press release.

“All of these vehicles were in sheds but not secured making them easy for the thieves to remove.”

The theft of ATV’s, dirt bikes and UTV’s has risen steadily across Chatham-Kent, officials say.

“Crime Stoppers is asking owners to become proactive and make every attempt to lock sheds and additionally, secure these vehicles in some way to prevent their theft. We shouldn’t have to do this but the reality of the situation says we must. Make your property a hard target, secure your valuables and deter thieves.”
