Special weather statement remains in tact

A special weather statement remains in tact by Environment Canada across Chatham-Kent.

Forecasters say periods of light snow or freezing drizzle will continue today and tonight.

Areas near Lake Erie could see some drizzle if temperatures manage to nudge above the freezing mark.

The light precipitation is expected to taper off Saturday morning.

Motorists should expect poor winter travelling conditions as a result and plan for extra time to reach their destination.

The commute this morning may be slow and messy.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
