Upcoming events from December 23, 2017

We’re going to take a look at some upcoming events in the community, which is brought to you by Sundowner Truck Accessories.

– Christmas Day is on Monday. We want to wish everyone safe travels as they make their way around the community to celebrate the holiday season.

– The annual Christmas Kettle Campaign is set to wrap-up for the Salvation Army in Wallaceburg and all across Chatham-Kent. The campaign will close at the end of the day on Saturday, December 23. The overall goal for their Christmas campaign in Chatham-Kent is $460,000.

– There are several free swims being held this month at the Wallaceburg and Blenheim pools. Thanks to community sponsors, all parent & tot swims, after school swims, open swims, and family swims are free for the month of December.

– Several Holiday Skates are taking place at the Wallaceburg and Dresden arenas in the next couple of weeks. Many of the skates will be free, thanks to the support of some community sponsors. Visit chatham-kent.ca/recreation for a full list of all the Holiday skates. The Wallaceburg and Dresden skates can be seen, here:

– And finally… do you have a family or work Christmas party planned over the holidays? Well, if you decide to have a few drinks… don’t get behind the wheel of your vehicle and drive, call Home James instead. Call 519-351-3353, and Home James will send their volunteers, who will drive your vehicle home for you… anywhere in Chatham-Kent. They are operating every Friday and Saturday night until the end of the year, with New Year’s Eve their final night. Visit homejames-ck.ca for more details.
