A domestic incident led to an arrest in Wallaceburg on Friday.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say on January 5 officers responded to a domestic disturbance in Wallaceburg.
Polcie allege that a 51-year-old Wallaceburg man had assaulted his partner and then barricaded himself in his residence, threatening self-harm.
Police officials say officers were allegedly able to talk with the man and have him exit his residence in a peaceful manner.
The man was charged with multiple assaults, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and mischief under $5,000, police say.
The man was held pending a bail hearing.
