The Dresden Kings can sweep the Wheatley Sharks on Monday night in their opening round playoff series in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. The Kings won Game #3 on Sunday night at Dresden Arena by a score of 4-3.
Nolan VandenBoorn scored the game winner for Dresden at the 11:11 mark of the third period.
Kenny Chisolm tied the game with a powerplay goal at the 7:24 mark of the third period for Dresden.
Lucas Spence scored a pair of powerplay goals in the second period as well.
Brendan Johnston made 22 saves for the victory.
Kevin Ritzer added 3 assists for the Kings, who out-shot the Sharks 48-25.
The Kings now lead the best-of-seven series 3-0.
Game #4 is set to take place on Monday night in Wheatley at 7:30 p.m.
Game #5, if necessary, will take place Friday night in Dresden.
