The annual Dresden Kinsmen Easter Egg Hunt is set to take place on Good Friday, March 30, once again this year.

Jon Hawken, the club president, told the Sydenham Current the event will start at 1 p.m. sharp.

“When I mean 1 p.m. sharp, it starts at 1 p.m. and it usually ends at about 1:05 p.m. It doesn’t last very long,” he said.

Kids up to the age of 12 are invited to come out and take part, Hawken said.

“We do it in sections, so there is four different sections (0-3, 3-6, 7-9 and 10-12.),” he said.

“It’s in the Kinsmen Park, at the baseball diamond. So what we do is we have a couple chairs there with caution tape and divide into four different rows or sections. So they are not all running into each other. It works out well.”

Hawken said an Easter basket and maybe some rubber boots is everything the kid’s need to bring.

“It might be a little bit wet back there but Friday morning we at the Kinsmen get up, rake it all and we will check all the field and stuff just to make sure there isn’t any glass or anything like that,” he said.
