A Wallaceburg man face charges after an alleged shoplifting complaint in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials say last night officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Canadian Tire in Chatham.
The man allegedly concealed several items under his clothing and in a backpack, police say.
He exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise.
Total value of the theft was estimated at $320.
A 23-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000.
He was released pending a future court date of May 4, 2018.
