Red Devils post season-high 19 goals in win over Regals

The Red Devils put on an offensive clinic on Sunday afternoon at Wallaceburg Memorial Arena.

The first place Wallaceburg squad scored a season-high 19 goals, against only 7 goals against versus the Guelph Regals.

Marshall Powless led the way for the home squad with a 10-point game, 4 goals and six assists.

Kyle Dawson had a solid game as well, scoring 5 goals and adding 3 assists for 8 points.

Jordan Goddard scored twice, his first two as a Red Devil, and added 4 assists.

Tanner Cole has 1 goals and 4 assists, Owen Martin and Tyden Hill each scored 2 goals, Carter Hastings had 1 goal and 2 assists, while Vern Hill and Ryan Noel both scored single goals.

Goalie Lucas Jacobs made 47 saves for the victory.

Wallaceburg is now 6-1 on the season, good for first place in the Ontario Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse League’s Far West division.

Wallaceburg will hit the road in their next game, when they battle the London Blue Devils on Thursday at 8 p.m.

They’ll then be on the road on Saturday, May 12 in Welland and back in London on Tuesday, May 15.

Wallaceburg won’t be back at home until Saturday, May 19 when they host Niagara at 4 p.m.
