Release conditions breached in Wallaceburg

A man faces charges after allegedly breaching his release conditions in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege on September 15, 2017, a man was released from custody with several conditions after being arrested for domestic assault.

One of his conditions was to stay away from the victim’s residence.

On Friday night at approximately 8:45 p.m., police were called to a Wallaceburg residence in regards to this man being present outside the victim’s residence, police allege.

Upon arrival officers located the man directly outside the residence and placed him under arrest.

A 57-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with Breach of Recognizance.

He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
