Ken Houston memorial race at Dresden Raceway

Dresden Raceway is hosting the “Ken (Doc) Houston Memorial Pace” on Sunday, June 24.

A race in honour of local NHL Alumni Ken Houston – horse owner & enthusiast formerly of Dresden and recently Chatham who died March 2018.

Doc had a great respect for all communities of Chatham-Kent and loved harness racing attending each week, participated in golf tournaments, Alumni hockey tournaments, dinners and so much more to support all aspects of Chatham-Kent.

An auction will be held to benefit the “Ken Houston Scholarship Fund” which will go to a deserving product of the Dresden Minor Hockey Association who is moving on to the next level of education.

On Sunday, June 24th we are mixing two of Ken’s greatest passions horses & hockey. Several formal NHL teammates of Ken will be in attendance as well as current NHL players to sign autographs & support the scholarship fund.
