Joe Faas seeking re-election in North Kent

Joe Faas

North Kent Coun. Joee Faas has filed his papers and is running for re-election in Ward 4 – North Kent.

With approximately one-third of present-day councillors not returning in 2019, Faas said he believes his experience will still be needed around the council table.

“If re-elected my top priorities will be to ensure that infrastructure budgets strive to be at 100% funded and that economic development remains top of mind as we invite new industry and business to our community while working to maintain what we already have,” Faas told ckbizlinks.net.

Building a positive relationship with the Ford government is also on his “to do” list.

“Dresden and Ward 4 residents are extremely important to me and I very much enjoy helping to solve problems and concerns they may have,” Faas added.

If re-elected, this would be Faas’ fifth straight term on Chatham-Kent Council.

Newcomers Jessica Brooks, Joey Cyples, Dylan Robert McLay, Steven Scott and Patricia Sylvain are also seeking one of two spot representing Ward 4.

Current Coun. Leon Leclair has stated he will not be seeking re-election.

Election Day is October 22, 2018.
