Charges laid following a crash in Lambton

A Wallaceburg woman faces charges following a weekend crash in Lambton County.

OPP officials allege on July 29 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the area of Mandaumin Road at Churchill Line in Plympton Township to investigate a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a mobile home trailer being towed by a pick-up truck.

Police say as a result of the collision, one of the drivers had to be extracted from the motor vehicle by fire department personnel suffering non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation revealed that the passenger vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign controlling south bound Mandaumin Road at Churchill Line striking the mobile home/trailer.

An 18-year-old woman from Wallaceburg was transported to hospital and charged with failing to stop for a stop sign.
