‘Goats for Girls’ & ‘Women Making a Difference’

Special to the Sydenham Current

We often underestimate the power each of us have to change the world with simple acts of caring and sharing.

Women Helping Women, a small but mighty, local, independent organization made up of compassionate and caring women and girls has together we have made a profound difference in the lives of women and girls from 13 countries and donated $45,000 to worthy, grass roots, responsible organizations and projects.

Today there are little girls who have clean water, education and health care; women who have opportunity to support themselves and their families because of the sewing machines, soybean seeds, training and many other opportunities that were only made possible because we cared.

We fortunate women in Canada have been blessed and many of us want to support those women and girls who are suffering under oppression and abuse. Women Helping Women welcomes everyone and there is no obligation, no membership and no commitment.

Girls as young as 10 and women of all ages come together at Women Helping Women gatherings and are engaged in the common believe that together we are making a powerful and positive difference in the world.

On Thursday, October 18 Women Helping Women proudly presents ‘Goats for Girls’ and ‘Women Making a Difference’.

Come out and hear their stories of bringing hope and change to women and girls in Ghana and Malawi.
