Smith: Carol Anne (Hystead), formerly of Dresden, Ridgetown, and Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, January 25, 2019 following a brief Illness at the age of 79.
Born in Wallaceburg, daughter of the late William and Etta Hystead. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Smith (1998). Loving mother of David Smith (Linda) of London, Kevin Smith (Sherry) of Owen Sound, Michael Smith (Angie) of Ridgetown. A very special grandma to Kayla. Loving grandma to Sara, Ashley, William, Kaitlyn and Chris. Dear sister-in-law of Homer Lashley of Collingwood and Sandie Hystead of Mississauga. Predeceased by sisters Connie Belle-Isle (Denis), Mary Lou Lashley, a brother Edward Hystead and brothers-in-law Keith and Stephen Smith.
The Smith family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 679 North St. Dresden on Wednesday evening from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment Dresden Cemetery.
