Some wintry thoughts

By Glen Turner – Special to the Sydenahm Current

Now that w… wi… wint… you know, is truly upon us, some thoughts come to mind.

Do those of you with snowblowers help out neighbours? I do.

CAA has been very busy getting people’s cars started from the frigid temps.

Where I come from, a ‘block heater’ is standard equipment on vehicles – and I’m surprised at the number of people around here who don’t even know what that is!

When I first moved to the area, and asked potential landlords where I could plug my car in, two of them actually asked: “You have an electric car?”

Is there a bylaw about snowmobiles in town streets?

I’ve come close to hitting two of them not far from my house… both driving with beers in their mitts… grrrrr.

Also, is there a bylaw requiring us to shovel our own sidewalks?

And, finally, can you believe that many people, including Trump, think that this cold snap is somehow proof that Climate Change DOESN’T exist?

As in, they still don’t understand that ‘climate’ and ‘weather’ are not the same.

SHEESH!!!
