The Dresden Kings blanked the Blenheim Blades in Game #1 of their Provincial Junior Hockey League Stobbs Division opening round playoff series on Monday.
The final score was 3-0 for Dresden.
Cory Lucier opened the scoring on the powerplay at the 18:47 mark of the first period. Brendan Ritchie and Bayly Fryfogle assisted on the goal.
Dawson Winchester and Greg Hay also scored for the Kings.
Brett Brochu stopped all 20 shots to earn the shut-out.
Dresden out-shot the Blades 47-20.
A total of 368 fans packed into the Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre for the game.
Game #2 goes on Thursday, February 7 in Blenheim at 7 p.m.
