Mr. Salavair “Vet” Jacques, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, “Sydenham Campus”, in Wallaceburg, at the age of 82.
Vet was born in Chatham and was a son of the late Rene and Maria (Vanderweigh) Jacques.
Beloved husband of the late Rose (VerBerckmoes) Jacques.
Loving father of Maria (Mike) Zele, Martha (Kevin) Cocks, Donnie (Janet) Jacques and the late Charles Jacques (2012).
Sadly missed by his grandchildren Michelle, Elizabeth, Angie, Nicki, Ashley, Jeff, Jackie, Tara, Rene, Joanna and Nathan and several great grandchildren.
Survived by his sisters Virginia Foulon, Jean Schaffer, Andrea VanLanduyt and a sister-in-law Sylvia Jacques.
Predeceased by his sisters Martha, Yvonne, Margaret and his brothers Marshall, Joe and Valare.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
