Police investigating two crashes in C-K

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating a pair of crashes that took place over the weekend.

Police officials allege just before 9 p.m. last night, emergency crews responded to single motor vehicle collision on Front Line.

The driver, a 45-year-old Raleigh Township man lost control of his truck and came to rest in a ditch.

He was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.

In a separate incident, on Saturday just before 1 p.m. a vehicle travelling on Park Avenue in Chatham struck a display sign on the corner of Park Ave. and Queen St.

Emergency crews responded to this single motor vehicle collision.

The driver, a 65-year-old woman, was initially transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and then to Windsor. 

The extent of the woman’s injuries are unknown at this time.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service Traffic Management Unit has taken over this investigation.
