Mrs. Eleanor McNaughton, of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospice, in Sarnia at the age of 96.
Eleanor was born in Dresden and was a daughter of the late Bloss and Mary (Deacon) Armstrong.
Beloved wife of the late Douglas McNaughton (2004).
Loving mother of Michael (Edith) McNaughton, Pat (Nancy) McNaughton, Tim (Clara) McNaughton and Mary Lou (Tim) Denning.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Julie Johnston (Dean), Jeff McNaughton (Julie), Jay McNaughton (Barb), Tyler McPhail (Nancy), Josh McNaughton (SarahJane), Gina McClinton, Erin Hogan (Kevin), Stu McNaughton (Anne), Missi Routley (Dave), Layna Denning, Kaylen Burgess (Jason) and Steve Denning and her great grandchildren Kelly and Lindsey Johnston, Renee and Reid McNaughton, Cruze McNaughton, Anthony, Alannah and Keith McPhail, Gabriella and Maxwell McNaughton, Brayden, Addison and Trent Hogan, Liam and Mason McNaughton, Dougal, Ella, Tavish and Evera Routley, Ameilia and Penelope Yacks, Jace, Sophia and Hudson Burgess.
Predeceased by her sisters Mary Lou (the late Ron) Kellett and Bea Armstrong.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from Knox Presbyterian Church, Wallaceburg, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Barb Sargeant, Officiant.
Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia may be left at the funeral home.
