Vereecken: Rose Marie (Verstraete), formerly of R.R.#3 Bothwell, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday April 26, 2019 at the age of 87.
Born in Tilbury East Twp., daughter of the late Maurice and Adrienne (VanBesien) Verstraete. Beloved wife of 63 years of the late Joseph “Joe” Vereecken ( February 20, 2019). Loving mother of Cheryl-Ann Fisher (Bob) of Bothwell, Linda Vereecken (Lee Saker) of Clachan, Catherine Ellwood (Late Randy) of Chatham. Sadly missed by granddaughters Kelsey Ann Lemieux (Cody), Stephanie Fisher, Jocelyn Fisher (Adam Cedar) and great-grandchildren Elodie Rose and Coen Lemieux. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Zulma Deprez (Roger) of Dresden, Marie Vereecken (Antoine) of Chatham, Dianne Feys (Late Gilbert) of Bothwell, Joanne Bogaert (Late Ernest) of London, Pete Vereecken (Late Rosa) of Holland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Andy Verstraete (Late Lena), sister Janette Korpan (Late Bill), sister-in-law Nic Vereecken, and brother-in-law Theo Vereecken (late Evelyn).
The Vereecken family will receive friends at the Badder & Robinson Funeral Home, 211 Elm St., Bothwell on Sunday from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Prayers will be held at 12:45 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Thamesville on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Ignatius Cemetery, Bothwell.
