It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother Jean Cooper at Rubidge Retirement Centre in Peterborough, ON, on Saturday, April 20, 2019 in her 77th year.
Born in Chatham Township, Jean was the daughter of the late John (Jack) McCallum and Jennie (Clark). Devoted wife of the late Larry Cooper, loving mother of Mike (Caryn), Mark (Nancy) and Colleen terHaar (Stephen). Beloved Gmaw to her grandchildren Jade, Ben (Kylea), Cassidy (Adam), Shelby and great grandchildren Reese, Cooper and Colby. Dear sister of Edna (late Charles) Gerow and Dianne Johnston (Gary). Predeceased by her brothers Murray, Melvin, Ronald and Karl.
A celebration of life will be held on May 11, 2019 at Grace Congregational Christian Church Hall, 26466 Bear Line Road, Dover Centre. A drop-in reception and lunch will be held from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Interment will follow at Owen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the cancer charity of your choice or Grace Congregational Christian Church would be appreciated by the family.
