Public Works Trade Show coming to C-K

(Association of Ontario Road Supervisors)

In just under one week’s time, there are up to 3,000 people from all over Ontario expected to walk through the doors at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre in Chatham for the 2019 Association of Ontario Road Supervisors (AORS) Trade Show.

The trade show, which runs from 8 am to 3 pm on Wednesday, June 5 and Thursday, June 6 is the largest of its kind in Ontario, and features everything from snow plows to remote controlled grass mowers.

Glenn Harding, President of the Chatham-Kent Road Association and Chairperson for the 2019 AORS Municipal Public Works Trade Show, says there is plenty for people to see during this family-friendly, free event.

Harding says the process to host this event has been a team effort that actually began back in 2017.

“We’re thrilled to have this year’s Provincial Trade Show in Chatham-Kent. We are inviting all residents and families to learn more about what we do in order to keep the roads safe. It’s also a great way for anyone interested in a career in the heavy construction industry to ask questions and get answers from people with first-hand experience.”

This is the first Municipal Public Works Trade Show in Chatham-Kent, but AORS holds similar events every year in different locations around the Province.

To save time and avoid lineups, visitors are encouraged to pre-register online. Visitors who pre-register are also eligible to enter a draw for a daily door prize.
