RC Spencer Associates Inc. is celebrating 30 years in Chatham-Kent with the announcement of their purchase of the building at 49 Raleigh Street in Chatham. The move marks the next phase of an ambitious two-year growth period which has seen a remarkable increase of local staff from just one person to a total of seven professional and technical support staff members.

“This is the type of growth pattern we are seeing in agencies across Chatham-Kent. It’s a radical shift from just a few years ago that is seeing the creation of a wealth of high-quality jobs across a variety of sectors,” said Stuart McFadden, Director of Chatham-Kent Economic Development. “RC Spencer Associates is proving that Chatham-Kent is the right place to do business and we want to help them celebrate their success.”

Chatham-Kent Mayor, Darrin Canniff, said, “I want to congratulate everyone at RC Spencer Associates for having the foresight to strategically plan for this expansion. It shows their commitment to local staff, to local clients, and to the entire community.”

RC Spencer Associates provides private and public clients with quality engineering services that are both cost effective and timely. They now have branches across southwestern Ontario including Chatham, Leamington, and a head office in Windsor. In all, RC Spencer Associates employs a staff compliment of 30 people.

“We make it a priority to hire people who live in and contribute to the communities that we serve,” said Stephen Jahns, Associate and Chatham-Kent Manager of RC Spencer Associates Inc. “Chatham-Kent’s office staff is solely comprised of residents from the various communities in Chatham. We are also big supporters of the local colleges and the University of Windsor – so our younger staff are good examples of people who are relocating or choosing to stay local to Chatham-Kent.”

Jahns added, “Plus, it’s a huge milestone for us to be celebrating 30 years in Chatham. We have worked with, and continue to work with, some top clients in the area and Southwestern Ontario. It says a lot that they put their trust in us, and we owe our successful track record to their dedication and support.”
