3rd Farmers Market held in Wallaceburg (Photos)

Saturday marked the third installment of the Wallaceburg Farmers Market for the 2019 season.

The market ran from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the parking lot on James Street.

The event was sponsored by the Wallaceburg BIA.

Despite the overcast sky, and threat of rain as the market opened, the weather gradually cleared, allowing the sun to pour through and create the perfect atmosphere for browsing the different vendors and businesses.

The market featured many booths that were returning favourites for the people of Wallaceburg and area.

These booths were punctuated with the addition of some new vendors.

Here is a list of vendors that were present at the Farmer’s Market: Parks Blueberries, Williamson Farms, The Baker’s Affair, Your Hometown Deli, Tacq’s Garden Market, Farmer’s Market Vendor Booth, Tickled Pink Bath Delights, Two Women and a Stove Catering, Wallaceburg Wellness Centre, Country Garden Market and Henna by Julie.

“I’m from the Wallaceburg Wellness Centre, and I’m here at the market today because I’m one of the sponsors… but as a vendor I like to be here because I like to bring stuff back out to the community, and to a lot of customers who don’t necessarily come to our store,” Cathy Cogghe told the Sydenham Current.

While dealing with a long line of customers at her booth, Cogghe continued.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to meet new customers, to visit with our community members and to see all of the other vendors that come to the market,” she added.

If you were unable to attend the farmer’s market this weekend, please remember to support local businesses in the future.

The last two markets of this season are August 17 and September 21, 2019.
