CKHA seeking local Medical Students

Do you have a friend or family member currently attending medical school? If so, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) wants to hear from you.

“Each year new students from the community are accepted into medical school,” says Lead Physician Recruiter, Fannie Vavoulis. “As part of our ongoing recruitment initiatives, we would like to make sure we are aware of every one of them. If we know who they are, we can establish relationships and training placements that might encourage them to return to the community to set up their medical practices. It is important to establish good working relationships early, to let them know how much they are welcomed and needed back in Chatham-Kent.”

Recruitment is ongoing at CKHA and within the community. It is important to show local medical students all of the amenities offered in Chatham-Kent while they are away studying. As the students progress through their educational career, efforts are made to attract the student back to Chatham-Kent after completion.

With a robust training program through Western University, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, there are many opportunities for local medical students to train at CKHA.
