Postma Heating and Cooling is celebrating its 30th anniversary in Chatham-Kent. Formed in 1989, Postma Heating and Cooling is a family business by George and Ron Postma, along with their wives Hetty and Linda. The company was built on the principles of reliability, honesty and integrity. Principles that Postma still, and always will, hold in high regard. In 1996 in order to be more centrally located in Chatham-Kent for their customers, Postma relocated from Blenheim, Ontario, to their present location on Charing Cross Road.
“A lot has changed over the past 30 years, but one thing that has not changed is the support we receive from our amazing customers,” said George Postma, Owner. “I also want to thank our staff. Their hard work, passion, and dedication to top customer service is what keeps our customers coming back.”
Postma has a significantly tenured workforce including technicians who have been with the company for over 25 years.
“We are very fortunate to have some staff that have been with us since nearly the beginning. They have a wealth of knowledge that can’t be measured thanks to staying on top of years of product innovations,” said George. “If a customer comes to us needing heating and cooling advice with both new and old equipment, we have the right people to help.”
In addition, Postma has always supported the community through charity events and contributions including supporting the local Habitat for Humanity, sponsoring many local sports teams, and supporting a variety of local events.
“Our success has come from the community and so it’s important for us to strive to give back as much as we can,” said George. “Chatham-Kent has embraced our family, and in turn, we have embraced Chatham-Kent.”
Anthony Wilson, Economic Development Officer for the Municipality of Chatham-Kent noted, “I first learned of Postma Heating and Cooling in 2003 when I moved to Chatham-Kent and purchased a home that needed a new furnace. I have been a customer since that time. ”
