Men charged with domestic assaults

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, around 11:30 a.m., a man and his wife became engaged in a verbal argument.

The incident escalated into a physical altercation which involved the man assaulting the woman inside their home.

The woman was able to leave the residence but was then followed by the man until she was able to contact police.

Officers attended and placed the man under arrest.

A 22 year old Wheatley man has been charged with one count of assault.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at approximately 11 p.m., officers investigated a report of a domestic assault that had taken place.

Yesterday evening, the victim was assaulted by her husband in two separate incidents over a period of approximately two hours.

As a result of the investigation, a 41 year old Bothwell man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Men arrested on outstanding warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon at approximately 12:30 p.m., an officer on general patrol in Wallaceburg observed a man in the area of Wellington Street who was known to be wanted on outstanding warrants.

A 37 year old Wallaceburg man was arrested for Fraud Under, Use Stolen Credit Card, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Fail to Attend Court.

He was later released from custody with a future court date.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon at approximately 4 p.m., an officer on general patrol in Chatham observed a man in the area of Thames Street who was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

A 23 year old Chatham man was arrested on a Surety Relief Warrant.

He was subsequently transported to the Southwest Detention Center where he was held in custody.

Woman arrested for being intoxicated in public

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night at approximately 11:30 p.m., a woman attended an address on Murray Street in Chatham and was unwanted there by the occupants.

Police attended and found that the woman was intoxicated and unable to care for herself.

A 26 year old Chatham woman was arrested for being intoxicated in public.

She was held in custody until sober.

Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between the night of Saturday, October 19, and morning of Sunday, October 20, 2019, unknown suspects entered a garage at a residence located on Sheldon Ave. in Chatham.

Once inside, the suspects removed a Yardworks chainsaw, McCulloch chainsaw, Mastercraft mig welder, Ryobi battery chargers, and various hand tools.

Break and enter in Erieau

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Between October 12-19 unknown suspects entered a shed on Terrace Beach Road and stole approximately $800 in power tools and a 8hp Mercury outboard motor.

Assault in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 29, 2019 Police attended a Motel on Grand Ave. E. where a male had gotten into an argument with his neighbour and struck her in the face.

The man was located in the Motel parking lot and arrested without incident.

he was transported to CKPS HQ and lodged pending release.

Warrant in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 19, 2019 on Grand Ave. W. a 31 year old Chatham man was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

During the arrest the male provided a false name and subsequently charged with obstruct.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 19, 2019 on Wellington St. W., as a result of a traffic stop, a 26 year old Chatham man was arrested a warrant for breaching his probation.

The male was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was released with a future court date.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 20, 2019 a 39 year old Chatham man was located walking on Lacroix St.

He was subsequently arrested on probation warrant.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was released with a future court date.

Impaired in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 20, 2019 at 1:25 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted on Richmond St.

As a result of the stop a 39 year old Windsor man was arrested for operation while impaired.

He was transported to the station and provided samples of his breath which were three times the legal limit.

He was further charged with Operation while impaired 80 plus.

He was released with a future court date.
