The Moose Lodge in Wallaceburg held the seventh in a succession of raffles on October 23 that began on September 11.

The ‘Catch the Ace Progressive Lottery Raffle’ guarantees a winner each week.

Tickets for the lottery are $2, with a draw every Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The winner of the seventh raffle, was Dana Haggith with envelope number 12. The card in the envelope was an eight of diamonds.

The purpose of the lottery is to raise money for three charities within the local area.

Members of the Moose Lodge have chosen, ‘Lend A Hand’ Wallaceburg School Breakfast Program, Salvation Army Wallaceburg, and the Chatham-Kent Hospice as the recipients of the funds raised.

Present at last week’s draw were Mary O’Neil and Virginia Whitmarsh, organizers of the lottery, who presented the donation cheque to Joyce Myers, who accepted on behalf of the ‘Lend a Hand’ Wallaceburg School Breakfast program.

“The Wallaceburg Moose Lodge, Catch the Ace Lottery, generated a $200 donation to the ‘Lend A Hand’ Wallaceburg Breakfast Program”, O’Neil told the Sydenham Current.

“This local breakfast program helps ensure every child is able to start the day with a nutritious breakfast.”

Tickets are available for future draws at the Moose Lodge Lounge during business hours.

All ticket holders must be at least 18 years of age.
