A Wallaceburg-area business is opening their doors this Halloween for trick-or-treaters.

The Clubhouse at Baldoon, located at 7018 Dufferin Avenue, will be open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“Today is Halloween and it is raining and the wind is suppose to pick up,” the Clubhouse at Baldoon posted on social media.

“Here is our idea. We are asking people if they want to come out to our facility and hand out their candy. This way the kids will be able to trick or treat without the horrible weather and everyone will be able to see all the kids cool costumes.”

The Clubhouse at Baldoon will be providing free hot chocolate, coffee and tea.

“Plus we have plenty (of) treats for the kids,” the business said.

“We will also be having a contest where the kids enter their name to win a nice $50 bill. We would also like to thank Ed’s Bait for their help with this event.”

Environment Canada has a special weather statement in place across Chatham-Kent, as a wet Halloween with significant rain and gusty winds is expected.
