The Wallaceburg Tartans seniors girls basketball team steam rolled to the ‘AA’ LKSSAA championship on Friday night in Wallaceburg.
The Tartans topped the LCCVI Lancers by a score of 65-24.
Laura Marcus led all scorers with 15 points.
Kayla Noguiera and Sam St. Croix chipped in with 12 points apiece.
Gabi Whiteye added 11 points for the Tartans.
Next up will be SWOSSAA for the Tartans squad.
Wallaceburg will host the winner from Windsor/Essex on Wednesday, November 13.
Tip off time has yet to be finalized.
In junior action on Friday, the Wallaceburg club fell just short in the ‘AA’ LKSSAA championship game.
The Great Lakes Wolfpack won the final 56-48.
Alyia Vandendool led the Tartans with 17 points.
Lili Gardner scored 13 points in the final.
