Police: Online threats, MVC, break-in

Man charged uttering threats

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Earlier this week, an online conversation between two men known to each other resulted in threats being sent through Facebook Messenger.

Yesterday morning, the 18-year-old Tilbury man was arrested and charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death and uttering threats to damage property.

He was released with conditions pending a future court date of December 4, 2019.

Woman arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, an officer on general patrol police observed a woman wanted for breaching her Probation Order near the intersection of Murray Street and Queen Street.

A 33-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and released pending a future court date of today.

Man charged with break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, a man attended the residence of a woman known to him and kicked in the garage door causing about $750 in damage.

Police were notified of the incident and the man was arrested.

The 27-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with break and enter.

He was released pending a future court date of December 6, 2019.

Man charged with domestic related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Chatham.

Through investigation, officers learned that the man was currently bound by conditions not to attend the woman’s residence.

The 48-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested in the backyard and charged with assault and failing to comply with his release conditions.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Woman charged with being intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 2 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in response to an intoxicated woman who was causing a disturbance.

The 66-year-old woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters for her own safety.

She has been charged with being intoxicated in a public place and will be released when sober.

Motor vehicle collision in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night around 5 p.m. emergency crews responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Keil Drive North near Baldoon Road.

The pedestrian, an elderly female, sustained injuries and was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.

The collision remains under investigation.
