Police: B&E, theft in Chatham, breach of peace

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Monday morning police responded to a break and enter at a construction site on Beechwood Line in Howard Township.

Unknown persons forced entry into a trailer and took various tools from inside.

The investigation is ongoing.

There are currently no suspects.

Theft in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Monday evening police responded to a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham in regards to a theft complaint.

The 38-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting and through investigation the female was found to be wanted on a warrant with the Sarnia Police Service.

The female was transported to Wallaceburg where she was turned over to the Sarnia Police Service for transport.

Breach of peace

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early Tuesday morning police responded to a residence on Riverview Drive in Chatham as it was being reported that a male was yelling in that area.

Through investigation the male was found to be displaying a drug induced behaviour.

The 29-year-old male was arrested for breach of the peace and was transported to police headquarters and is to be held until sober.
