Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man as part of a theft investigation at Home Hardware on Indian Creek Road East in Chatham last month.

Collision leads to impaired charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Just before 4 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a collision in a parking lot off King Street in Blenheim.

Through investigation, police suspected the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol and a roadside test was administered.

The man failed and was arrested.

He was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.

A 40-year-old Blenheim was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was released pending a future court date of January 21, 2020.

Traffic stop leads to charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Lacroix Street in Chatham.

The driver, a 35-year-old Chatham woman, was arrested and charged with failing to stop for a red light and driving while under suspension.

Her vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded as per the Vehicle Impoundment Program.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police arrested a woman wanted for uttering threats in connection with a domestic disturbance in Chatham over the weekend.

The 35-year-old woman was transported to the Courthouse pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, an officer on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Front Line.

Through investigation, the officer learned that a passenger in the vehicle was wanted for failing to comply with her Probation Order and failing to attend court.

The 28-year-old Blenheim woman was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 4 a.m. this morning, an officer on general patrol observed a man wanted for breaching his Probation Order on Taylor Avenue in Chatham.

Through investigation, the officer learned that the man was also currently bound by a curfew.

The 35-year-old Chatham man was arrested and additionally charged with failing to comply.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft of tools in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Sunday at 6 p.m. and yesterday at 4 p.m. unknown suspects entered a shed on Merritt Avenue.

Once inside, the suspects stole various power and hand tools, an air compressor, two air nailers and a Honda power washer.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $7,500.

Break and enter in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime over the Christmas holidays, unknown suspects forced their way into a residence on Lisgar Street South.

Once inside, the suspects stole a Norco lime green bicycle, 32” RCA television and Wii U gaming system.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1,200.
