Police: 82 km/h in ‘Community Safety Zone’, B&E, warrants

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Tuesday at 5 p.m. and yesterday at 7 a.m. unknown suspects forced their way into a home under construction on Riverview Line and stole approximately $8,000 worth of tools and building supplies.

Speed Enforcement: Community Safety Zone

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 15, 2020 officers in Traffic Management conducted speed enforcement on McNaughton Ave. in Chatham in the Community Safety Zone.

In over four hours officers issued 32 provincial offence notices.

The fasted driver was travelling 82km/hr in the 40km/hr zone.

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Between January 14 and 15, unknown persons entered unlocked outbuildings on a property on
Charing Cross Road in the Charing Cross area.

Various miscellaneous tools were taken with a value $800 dollars

Warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 15, 2020 Windsor Police arrested a 35-year-old Chatham man wanted in Chatham-Kent for failing to attend court, possession under $5,000 and break, enter and commit theft.

CKPS returned the male to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was lodged pending a bail hearing.

Warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On January 15, 2020 Windsor Police arrested a 39-year-old Windsor man wanted in Chatham-Kent for Breach Probation and Fail to Attend Court.

CKPS attended Windsor Headquarters where the man was released with a future court date.
