January is Crime Stoppers Month

January is Crime Stoppers month in Chatham-Kent and to mark the occasion, members of the organization were on hand for a flag raising at the Civic Centre on January 6.

“In 2019 Crime Stoppers received 949 tips from the public leading to 117 arrests, 174 charges being laid, clearing 134 cases; leading to over $2.8 million in recovered drugs and property,” Crime Stoppers officials stated.

To celebrate Crime Stoppers month Chatham-Kent Crime Stoppers hosted two free community skates on Sunday, January 12 at Thames Campus Arena and Sunday, January 19 at the Wheatley Arena.
