Update: Man charged with break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: As previous released, on January 22 around 1 a.m. unknown suspects entered a home under construction on Fargo Road and stole construction tools.

Through investigation, police identified the man responsible.

Last night, the 25-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested and charged with break and enter, being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000 and possession of break-in instruments.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with fraud related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 29, 2019 a citizen in Kingsville reported to police that his wallet had been stolen from his vehicle overnight.

Through investigation, police learned that a Tilbury man had used a credit card from the stolen wallet at various locations in Chatham.

Yesterday morning, police arrested the man in Tilbury.

He has been charged with:

– Possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000 x 4

– Using a stolen credit card x 4

– Fraud under $5,000 x 4

The 20-year-old man was also arrested on outstanding warrants for breaching his Probation Order and failing to attend court.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with breaching his curfew

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 12, 2019 the man was released from Court with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that he was to remain in his residence except while in the presence of two specific people.

Last night, around 10:30 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man by himself riding a bicycle on Joseph Street in Chatham.

As the officer stopped the man, he fled on foot.

The man was taken into custody on Thames Street.

The 23-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply with his release conditions.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, Sarnia Police arrested a man who was wanted for theft under $5,000, being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000 and escape lawful custody following a shoplifting incident at Walmart in Chatham last month.

A 36-year-old Dresden man was transported back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes.

He was released pending a future court date of February 21, 2020.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, a man wanted for domestic related offences was arrested in Windsor.

The 33-year-old Windsor man was transported back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, a member of the Traffic Unit conducted a traffic stop on Base Line in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, the officer learned that the driver was wanted by Sarnia Police.

The 29-year-old man was arrested and transported to Sarnia for court purposes.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, a man wanted for property related offences, driving offences and failing to attend court was arrested in Windsor.

The 49-year-old Windsor man was transported back to Chatham-Kent for court purposes.

He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 5, 2019 the man was charged with drug possession following the execution of a drug warrant in Chatham.

He was released pending a future court date.

Yesterday morning, the man failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Late yesterday afternoon, police located the man and he was arrested.

The 36-year-old Chatham man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, a woman wanted for using a stolen credit card in Wheatley was arrested by OPP.

A 28-year-old Leamington woman was transported back to Chatham-Kent and released pending a future court date of February 20, 2020.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police arrested a man on Richmond Street in Chatham who was wanted for impaired driving and failing to attend court.

A 66-year-old Chatham man was released pending a future court date of February 20, 2020.
