Police: Assault, failing to comply, intoxicated in public

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 2:30 a.m. this morning, police were dispatched to the King Street area in Chatham in response to a call of a disturbance.

Police arrived, observing a physical altercation between several parties.

A 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested for assault, and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters.

Man charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At approximately 3:12 a.m. this morning, while on routine patrol in the Town of Bothwell, police initiated a traffic stop.

While speaking to the driver, a Ridgetown man, who was known to police, was observed in the vehicle.

The Ridgetown man was currently bound by court release conditions not to be outside his residence without his surety.

The 32-year-old Ridgetown man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with Release Order, transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, and lodged pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for being intoxicated in a public place

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 2 a.m. this morning, police received a complaint of an intoxicated male party, on King Street in Chatham.

Police attended and located a male party who was intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The 20 year-old Chatham man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and lodged until sober.
