Update: Missing man located

Update from the Chatham-Kent Police Service: “Best Family Day News: Mr. Harris has been located safe by LaSalle Police. We are currently making arrangements to reunite him with his family. Thank you everyone for your assistance.”

Original story: The Chatham-Kent Police Service are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing person.

David Harris, 58, of Chatham was last seen at his residence on Park Ave. E. at 1 p.m., then at Charlies Variety between 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m, police allege.

“He has ties to Oxley Drive in Chatham, does not drive, suffers from dementia, carries an Alzheimer’s ID card in his wallet and he may not answer to his name,” police officials said in a media release.

Police describe Harris as 6’6”, medium build, grey hair and facial hair.

He was last seen wearing a yellow Boston toque, a black Steelers jacket, black mittens, track pants and white Nikes, police allege.

Anyone with information with regards to Harris are asked to contact the Chatham-Kent Police at 51-352-1234 ext 9.
