Police execute search warrant in Chatham
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Unit, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence in Chatham.
Approximately $2,100 worth of methamphetamine, along with scales and large amount of cash was seized.
A 42-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking.
He was released pending a future court date of March 26, 2020.
Executed warrants
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police arrested a woman wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident at Walmart in Chatham and then failing to attend court.
A 50-year-old Wallaceburg woman was released pending a future court date of March 25, 2020.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, an officer on general patrol observed a suspicious vehicle on Longwoods Road, west of Kent Bridge.
The truck was parked on the side of the road with the driver’s side window down.
As the officer approached the truck, he noticed a man sitting in the passenger seat.
Through investigation, the officer learned that the man was wanted for breaching his Probation Order.
The 36-year-old Chatham man was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The truck was towed from the scene.
