Police: B&E in Wallaceburg, assault, warrant

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning police responded to a break and enter on Albert Street in Wallaceburg.

Unknown persons entered the residence’s unlocked garage and took a Dewalt tool bag containing various power tools.

The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.

Male arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon an officer on general patrol in Wallaceburg conducted a traffic stop in the area of McNaughton Avenue.

The driver was found to be wanted on an outstanding POA Warrant for Driving While Under Suspension.

The 58-year-old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking.

The male was later released with a future court date.

Assault in Blenheim

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon police responded to a family dispute at a residence on Elizabeth Street in Blenheim.

Through investigation it was found out that one of the females had thrown a bottle at the other female.

As a result the 19-year-old woman was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon and Mischief Under $5,000.

The woman was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and was later released with a future court date.

Liquor Licence Act

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning police responded to a suspicious persons call at a residence on McNaughton Avenue in Chatham.

It was being reported that a male had been located sleeping in the hallway.

When police attended they located the male and through investigation he was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

The 25-year-old male was arrested, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters and held until sober.
