Woman charged with domestic related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last week, a woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s home in Thamesville to retrieve her cat.

A verbal argument outside, resulted in the woman breaking a window to enter the home.

The woman also assaulted the man while in the home before leaving with her cat.

Yesterday morning, police located the woman and she was arrested.

The 37-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with break and enter and commit assault.

She was released pending a future court date of March 18, 2020.

Man charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Monday afternoon, a man asked a friend to attend his ex-wife’s residence to retrieve some of his belongings and convey a message to her, even though he was on conditions not to communicate with her directly or indirectly.

Yesterday morning, police located the man in Tilbury and he was arrested.

The 67-year-old Wheatley man has been charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.

He was transported to the Courthouse pending a bail hearing and released with a future court date of March 23, 2020.

Man arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, a man wanted by London Police attended the station in Blenheim and turned himself in.

The 30-year-old Harwich Township man was arrested and turned over to officers from London for court purposes.

Collision leads to impaired charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 9 p.m. last night, emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Creek Road between Maynard Line and English Line.

The driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a tree and telephone pole.

Through investigation, police believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and breath tests were obtained.

A 57-year-old Morpeth man has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was released pending a future court date of March 25, 2020.

Motor vehicle collision in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, just before 8 a.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Mason Street near Arnold Street.

No one was injured.

Total damage was estimated at $9,000.

A 34-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged with failing to yield the right of way.

Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Monday at 4:45 p.m. and yesterday at 10 a.m. unknown suspects forced their way into the fenced compound at Maple City Mini Storage on Queens Line.

Once inside, the suspects cut the lock to a storage unit and stole three Samsung TV’s.

Items were also stolen from a vehicle on site.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1,500.

Damage to the fence was approximately $200.
